Overview
- National network of thousands of volunteers supporting emergency preparedness and response efforts
- Locally based and operated
- Support existing public health and medical resources
- Volunteers come from many backgrounds, both in the medical field and a variety of other non-medial professions, as well as students
- Training and education is provided
- Learn about and engage in the fields of public health, healthcare, emergency management and disaster medicine
