Texas Newborn Screening Electronic Ordering and Reporting (HL7)
The Texas Newborn Screening HL7 system allows Newborn Screening facilities to electronically:
-
Submit validated newborn screening demographics to the DSHS Newborn Screening laboratory.
-
Receive final newborn screening results.
Facilities interested in initiating an HL7 interface project with the Texas Newborn Screening Laboratory should first contact their IT and/or Interoperability departments to discuss feasibility. Email NewbornScreeningLab@dshs.state.tx.us for more information on initiating a project.
