Smiles in Schools Program

About Us

The Smiles in Schools Program (SiS) helps prevent cavities and keep kids healthy. SiS works with schools and preschools to set up oral health prevention clinics on campus. The clinics provide services to students from vulnerable populations who may be considered at high risk for developing tooth decay.

Who provides these services?

DSHS regional dental teams provide services throughout Texas. These teams work with the school nurse or administrator to coordinate the clinic. If you are a school nurse or administrator, learn more about hosting an SiS dental clinic at your school.
