The 2009 Journal of The American Dental Association reported recommendations for dental sealant use in school-based sealant programs.
Smiles in Schools
The Smiles in Schools Program (SiS) helps prevent cavities and keep kids healthy. SiS works with schools and preschools to set up oral health prevention clinics on campus. The clinics provide services to students from vulnerable populations who may be considered at high risk for developing tooth decay.
Our goal is to:
- Help prevent cavities
- Educate students
- Inform parents
- Collect oral health data
