Fall Protection Update

This updated training program provides the information employees need to work safely when they are off the ground. It assists in satisfying the major training requirements in the OSHA Standard on Fall Protection, 29 CFR1910. Topics include basics of fall protection, creating a fall protection plan, using personal fall arrest systems, and inspecting equipment.
Seatbelt Safety

Among drivers and passengers, seat belts reduce the risk of death by 45%, and cut the risk of serious injury by 50%. Seat belts prevent drivers and passengers from being ejected during a crash. People not wearing a seat belt are 30 times more likely to be ejected from a vehicle during a crash. This video is great for drivers of all experience levels.

EVALI: Vape at Your Own Risk

In this video, viewers learn that EVALI stands for E-Cigarette or Vaping Product Use Associated Lung Injury, a range of illnesses caused by electronic cigarettes and vaping devices. An outbreak of EVALI in 2019 led to the discovery that substances in use in common vaping products are harmful to the lungs and can cause serious respiratory disease and even death.

Testimony from experts and recovering alcoholics clarify why people start to drink and why young people are at greater risk of developing an alcohol use disorder. The video then focuses the risks of alcohol abuse on different parts of the still developing brain and how alcohol affects decision-making, coordination, and memory. Viewers learn about the risks of binge drinking, which can cause blackouts and alcohol poisoning. The video details the difficulties of recovery from alcoholism but offers hope that recovery is possible.

The body can process alcohol in moderation, but when one overindulges, alcohol slows down the brain and nervous system, reducing coordination, perception, and inhibition. It can also damage brain cells and neurons as well as other organs such as the kidneys and liver and is especially harmful to developing bodies. Knowing when you've crossed the line between moderation and too much can be difficult. With potentially awful consequences connected to alcohol abuse, including alcohol poisoning, car accidents, and participating in unprotected sex, it's crucial for teens to know how alcohol stresses the brain, what signs of inebriation to watch for in themselves and their peers, and how to turn down a drink despite peer pressure.
