Rabies Awareness and Prevention Poster Contest
The annual Rabies Awareness and Prevention Poster Contest is a fun and creative way to educate youth about the importance of vaccinating pets, rabies risks, and ways to prevent rabies exposures and infections. Texas students in K-12th grade can participate! Posters will be accepted from schools, after school programs, and youth organizations (such as FFA, Boy Scouts, etc.) Posters must be submitted by an adult facilitator.
The deadline for poster submission has passed and the winner selection process is underway. Adult facilitators will be notified of the winning posters no later than April 30, 2024.
Prizes are sponsored by the Zach Jones Memorial Fund and will be announced soon.
Prize Details
- One kindergarten winner will receive several small gifts.
- There will be first, second, and third place winners from 3 categories: 1st-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, and 6th-8th grade.
- Grades 1-2: 1st Place – binoculars & book; 2nd Place – Roblox gift card & Squishmallow; 3rd Place – Visa gift card
- Grades 3-5: 1st Place – digital handheld microscope; 2nd Place – LEGO set; 3rd Place – Visa gift card
- Grades 6-8: 1st Place – wireless headphones; 2nd Place – portable bluetooth speaker; 3rd Place – Visa gift card
- In addition to individual prizes, the classes of the 1st place winners in grades K-8 will be provided $75 for a class party!
- There will be two winners for high school, one for best digital art and one for best hand drawn art. Each winner will receive a generous gift card.
