Highly regarded as a leader nationwide, the Texas WIC program is an outstanding resource for local WIC personnel as well as a wide range of health professionals who provide services to WIC participants and staff.
We offer a range of products and services that include performance consulting, creating both instructor-led and self-paced materials, teaching instructor-led classes, providing a variety of web-based learning opportunities, and holding conferences. The training and technical assistance we provide cover a broad scope of topics. Training is provided on nutrition and breastfeeding for WIC staffers and health professionals and training on all WIC certification processes. We train WIC vendors on the Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) process, which was implemented state-wide in Spring 2009. Classes on supervisory skills, customer service, and civil rights for WIC staff are also available.
We are committed to the continuous improvement of the products and services we offer. Our goal is to have the best trained WIC staff nationwide and to be an important and vital resource for accurate, useful, up-to-date, WIC nutrition and breastfeeding information worldwide.
