The Texas Department of State Health Services--Vital Statistics Unit is conducting three Vital Statistics Regional Conferences this summer, held this year in Galveston, Arlington, and San Angelo. The event is co-sponsored by Texas Public Health Association.  The day-long conferences will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. Learn more about the conference.

UPDATED – Revised Polices in Response to Supreme Court Ruling

DSHS is implementing revised policies and will also amend certain vital events forms and records in response to the June 26, 2015 Supreme Court ruling in Obergefell and the July 7, 2015, U.S. District Court ruling in DeLeon.
