We cannot control the weather or prevent disasters from happening, but there are steps you can take to minimize risks from known hazards. Planning now will help save lives later. Ready or Not? Have a Plan is a statewide campaign to help Texans prepare for emergencies. Key to the campaign is a website, www.TexasPrepares.org and www.TexasPrepara.org in Spanish, where Texans can create a family emergency plan, download a disaster supplies list and get information about the threats we face.
