DSHS Completes Childress County Community Health Needs Assessment

The Childress County Community Health Needs Assessment has been completed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and several community health partners at the request of community leaders.

The report focuses on certain health issues in the community such as physical and mental health and substance abuse.

DSHS will hold a community meeting May 5 to present the results of the assessment. The meeting will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the South Plains Coop Building, 1900 Avenue C NW, Childress.

Anyone who needs language translation, interpretation services or special accommodations to attend the presentation should contact Devon Casey at (806) 783-6481 or devon.casey@dshs.state.tx.us at least 72 hours before the meeting.
