Adolescence is an important time for young people’s growth. The number of adolescents reporting poor mental health is growing. The Adolescent Behaviors and Experiences Survey (ABES) found that U.S. high school students are facing serious challenges, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic.

- 44% reported feeling persistent sadness or hopelessness.
